About the Event

The Crucible

Presented by FODPA and performed at Burning Coal Theatre

Step into the tense world of 1692 Salem in Arthur Miller’s gripping drama, The Crucible — a powerful story of fear, suspicion, and the dangerous consequences of mass hysteria. When a group of young girls is discovered engaging in mysterious activities, whispers of witchcraft begin to spread through the small Puritan town. As accusations fly and tensions rise, neighbors turn against neighbors and long-buried grudges come to the surface. In a community where reputation is everything, characters must decide whether to protect themselves or stand for the truth.

Widely regarded as one of the most important American plays ever written, The Crucible explores themes of integrity, power, and the cost of standing up for what is right in the face of overwhelming pressure.
