Music Theory
NEW THIS YEAR!!! MUSIC THEORY (Ages 13 - Adult)
INSTRUCTOR: Jodi Ogle
In order to be an excellent musical theater or vocal performer one must be able to understand a piece of written music. In our new Music Theory class, students will learn what musical symbols mean and how they apply to singing. We will explore concepts like dynamics, tempo, rhythm, pitch and more. We will also learn beginning sight reading techniques, ear training and interval training. This class is perfect for the singer who wants to speak the language of music. It will also be a great companion to any student who may be taking instrument lessons.
